Supported hardware
What we have actually tested.
We only guarantee the service on equipment we have tested and approved. This is that list, and it says plainly which units have reported to us and which have not.
The list
| What | Status | What that means |
|---|
| A phone running our Miles Tracker app | Always supported | our software, our setup — nothing to approve |
| Any GPS or AVL system that publishes a GTFS-Realtime feed | Always supported | a standard, not a device; we relay it today |
| Queclink GV53MG | Approved | drove a real route on our platform, 2026-08-25 |
| Teltonika FMM13A | Not tested yet | not yet tested on our platform — ask us |
"Not tested yet" means exactly that — the unit is expected to work and we have not yet had one report to our platform, so we will not claim it does. Ask us and we will tell you where it stands.
The two that always work
A phone
Our own Miles Tracker app on a phone that rides in the vehicle. There is no model list because there is nothing to approve — it is our software, and any reasonably recent Android phone runs it. On iPhone we set you up with a compatible client that reports to us in exactly the same way until our own app is listed in the App Store. Either way we do the setup with you, and the app costs nothing to install.
A GPS system that publishes a standard feed
If your existing AVL or GPS system publishes a GTFS-Realtime feed, we relay it today. That is a published standard rather than a device, so there is no model to test — and no integration fee, because there is no integration.
If your system is not on the list
Two honest answers, depending on what you have.
A tracker we have not tested
Tell us the model. Many will work; we will not promise it before one has reported to us. If it is a unit you already own, it goes on the approved list once it has, and it costs the same as any other vehicle.
A telematics vendor we have not connected
We build the connector once, for a one-time $1,500 setup fee charged to the first customer on that vendor and waived for everyone after. Never charged on a standard feed, and never on phones.
You buy the hardware, not us
Since 2026-08-31 we are out of the equipment business: we do not sell, loan, order, program, ship or install any device. You buy your own and it stays yours — so there is no unit price from us, no loss or damage charge, no return window, and nothing to send back if you stop. What we owe you instead is an honest list: the devices above are the ones we have really tested, and a device is only on it once one has reported to us.
